On April 20, 2018, our Annual Auction, “Glamping Under the Stars,” provided the opportunity for us to gather in support of our school and to celebrate all that makes Community School exceptional.
In the beautiful setting of Annette and Brent Stevens’ home, bordering the Lake Creek wilderness, more than 200 parents, board directors, alumni, and friends of the school connected, shared an incredible meal, raised funds to support the school, and danced the night away.
The success of this evening would not have been possible without the generous commitment of our fabulous hosts, Annette and Brent, and our incredible event co-chairs Pirie Grossman and Kim Hagenbuch, as well as the generous support of our many event sponsors, in-kind donors who offered goods and services for our live and silent auctions, and everyone who chose to attend and share their love for the school.
The funds raised through the Annual Auction, which netted more than $480,000 and exceeded our goal, will allow us to continue to enrich and elevate the many unique learning opportunities that we offer to our most important constituents: our students. Dollars raised will ensure that Community School continues on a path of growth, refinement, and excellence and will fund enhancements such as upgrading the Theatre sound system, expanding the school’s service learning curriculum, and completing the riparian restoration project, among others.
We are grateful for the world of possibilities that this overwhelming level of community-wide support opens up for our students, faculty, and programs. Thank you.
Watch what you made possible.

Join us for an evening under the stars! Community School's Annual Auction is the school's primary fundraising event, one that is not to be missed. The event will include a Live Auction, Paddle-Up, Party Sign-Ups, and Raffle.
This year, we will welcome approximately 200 parents, faculty, alumni, and friends of the school.
As with most independent schools, tuition and fees do not cover Community School's operating costs. The school relies on donations to the Annual Fund and proceeds from fundraising events like the Annual Auction. We hope to raise $200,000 to support school programs.
This annual party is one of Community School's most important fundraisers and benefits those who matter most — our students. The auction helps sustain everything that makes Community School an exceptional and unique learning environment, including academics, the arts, athletics, the Outdoor Program, faculty development, and financial aid.
