About Us

Community School’s Annual Auction is one of the school’s primary fundraisers and a highly anticipated social event. This year, we will welcome approximately 200 parents, faculty, alumni, and friends of the school to enjoy our “Run for the Roses” event.

Community School is a pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade independent school in Sun Valley, Idaho. The school is a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging students of diverse talents in an intellectually challenging and supportive school culture. Currently, the student body comprises more than 395 boarding and day students from the Wood River Valley and across the world. Forty-one percent of our students receive financial aid.

As with most independent schools, tuition and fees do not cover Community School’s operating costs. The school relies on donations to the Annual Fund and proceeds from fundraising events like the Auction. We hope to raise $150,000 to support school programs.

This annual party is one of Community School’s most important fundraisers and benefits those who matter most — our students. The Auction helps sustain everything that makes Community School an exceptional and unique learning environment, including the arts, the Outdoor Program, faculty development, and financial aid.
